Services
Various services I can provide for you
Second Opinion
I offer a second opinion on chosen solutions, including a thorough analysis of your current infrastructure, architecture choices, and DevOps practices. This helps identify risks, optimizations, and alternatives for better scalability and reliability.
Short Projects for Infrastructure
I take on short projects for building or expanding infrastructure components, such as setting up cloud environments with AWS, Kubernetes clusters, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform. This includes design, implementation, and handover for quick results.
Monitoring and Observability
I help set up advanced monitoring solutions with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Zabbix and/or Wazuh, including alerting, logging, and security monitoring. This provides proactive insights into your systems, minimizes downtime, and improves overall performance.
CI/CD Pipelines
Design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, focused on fast and secure deployments. I optimize workflows for efficiency, integration with existing systems, and compliance with best practices.
Cloud Migration and Optimization
Guidance on migrations to the cloud (AWS) or optimization of existing setups, including cost reduction, security, and scalability. I ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption and focus on platform engineering principles.
Case Studies
Real-world examples of how I've helped clients with DevOps solutions, focusing on efficiency and automation.
- All
- AWS
- Kubernetes
- Monitoring
From week-long wait to hours-fast deployments
Manual customer environments cost more than a week, now (fully) automated with Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
View DetailsSimpler multi-tenant management with Argo CD
Proof of concept for fast onboarding of customers in regional EKS clusters.
View DetailsFrom outdated to secure and up-to-date Kubernetes
Multiple versions overdue, updated with minimal downtime and CVE "protection" because patching can be done quickly.
View DetailsFrom log loss to 100% reliability
Application logs sometimes disappeared, now guaranteed in Elasticsearch via Kafka and Fluent-bit.

If you have other (more specific) questions, you can always contact me. See Contact.
1. What are your specializations as a DevOps Engineer?
I specialize in cloud environments such as AWS, containerization with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, monitoring with Elasticsearch/Opensearch, Prometheus, Zabbix and Wazuh, and platform engineering. In addition, I offer services such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud migrations, and technical reviews.
2. How does your pricing structure work?
My rates are flexible and depend on the project: hourly rate for short assignments or second opinions, fixed prices for larger projects. Contact me for a customized quote based on scope, duration, and complexity. I work transparently and without hidden costs.
3. How can I hire you for a project?
Contact me via email or the contact form on this site. We discuss your needs, I prepare a proposal, and after agreement, we start. I am available for both short and longer assignments, remote or on-site in Utrecht and surrounding areas.
4. What is your experience with freelance work?
With more than 10 years of experience in DevOps and platform engineering, I have worked on various projects, from startups (read: not very large companies) to large enterprises. I am also active as a technical reviewer and contributor to open-source tools. View my resume for specific examples and references.
5. Are you available for international projects?
Yes, I work mainly remotely and am available for international assignments. My focus is on the Netherlands and Europe, but if both parties can come to a solution regarding working hours, working for (North) American companies is also an option for me.
